Hello again I have just read some old mail from my Uncle R.McGeown and it looks like he was called Bob McGeown in AUS, hope this may be as some more help to get info on this family

Some place names, Childers a photo printed in a Chemist Thomas Gaydom. He also sent a Photo of him on horse back doing a cattle drive Dated 21st. Jan 1931

Iam trying to trace my Uncle Robert McGeown Who arrived in Aus, on the 27th.Nov.1929
He worked in or around Maryland until 1940 then into the Army Discharged 1945. From 1940 My Family has lost all trace of him,I know that his wife was called Adelaide McGeown and also a Daughter named Susan Elizabeth.I would very much like to know what ever happened to him and also to know if I have a family in Austrailia and get to Know them,So if any person Knows this family please let me know as I have been trying to find them for years.

Just a little more info on the McGeown Family I know that Robert's daughter trained as a nurse approx.1950s 1960 her name was Susan Elizabeth McGeown she may have used Susan or Elizabeth Hosp.worked in QLD. Many Thanks Please Help.

Iam still searching and My search From the 1903 1954 electoral roll I have Found

That In 1943 Lena McGeown Wife of Robert McGeowm Lived At Herbert Queensland.

Also in 1954 The roll gives her as Lena Adelaide McGeown Living at Leichhardt Queensland.

I hope that this can get me some help in finding some McGeown Family
I know at this time robert and his wife had a Daughter cant find any record of her.
Please help if you can

Hi To all you great people of Aus.Iam still searching For Robert McGeown or his Family, Just one thing that I never pointed out That in 1929 at the Age of 15 years of age he left Lisburn, Northern Ireland, to live in Aus.He had two Brothers William, Jim, and a Sister Susan.Robert was Born in Lisburn N.I. 22nd. april 1914 SOMEONE IN AUS. MUST HAVE KNOWN ROBERT OR HIS FAMILY PLEASE HELP.
